  2019 Southern Downs Regional Council Grants to Community
The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $2,000 proudly funded in 2019 by the Southern Downs Regional Council.  This grant facilitated the purchase of two incubators which will be used to support the rehabilitation of sick and injured native wildlife.
     
  2018 Stanthorpe RSL Community Sponsorship Funding Programme
The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $1500 proudly funded in 2018 by the Stanthorpe RSL.  This grant facilitated the purchase of a small incubator which will be used to support the rehabilitation of sick and injured native wildlife.
     
  2016 Volunteer Grants Program
The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $3,000 proudly funded in 2016 by the Australian Government's Volunteer Grants Program administered by the Department of Social Services.  This grant allowed us to purchase fuel to facilitate the rescue and transportation of injured and sick wildlife.
     
  2016 Gambling Community Benefit Fund Grant
The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $12,500 proudly funded in 2016 by the Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund.  This grant allowed us to purchase materials to allow the construction of purpose-built flight aviaries and transportation cages.
     

Suncorp

  2012 Suncorp

 

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $2,060 proudly funded in 2012 by Suncorp's staff Pl Belonging Small Grants Program through the work of Rhonda Barrett (Suncorp employee).  This grant allowed us to purchase microwaveable heat pads for rescuers to quickly obtain a long lasting heat source prior to going on a rescue, a fridge/freezer for storing made up milk based foods, and meat based foods, and koala transport cages for transporting sick or injured koalas to and from Moggill Koala Hospital.

     
Southern Downs Regional Council   2012 Southern Downs Regional Council

 

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $100 proudly funded in 2012 by the Southern Downs Regional Council.  This grant allowed us to purchase 10 weatherproof signs with the Granite Belt Wildlife Carers logo on them.  Carers will affix these signs to their front gates alerting the public to their presence.

     
Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund   2012 Qld Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund

 

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $30,000 proudly funded in 2012 by the Queensland Government Gambling Community Benefit Fund.  This grant will allow the construction of purpose built native animal enclosures suitable for koalas, possums, gliders and quolls.  It will also fund the construction of a flight aviary suitable for birds who have been rehabilitated and are getting ready for release.

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $150 proudly funded in 2012 by the Southern Downs Regional Council.  This grant allowed us to purchase moulds and latex to make our own teats that carers require for animals in their care.

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $150 proudly funded in 2011 by the Southern Downs Regional Council.  This grant allowed us to purchase shelving to safely and securely store items that carers required when rehabilitating native animals.

     
Queensland Country Credit Union   2011 Queensland Country Credit Union

 

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $1200.00 proudly funded in 2011 by the Queensland Country Credit Union Community Grants Scheme.  This grant allowed us to purchase snake handling equipment and reference material.  This enabled our trained members to provide a snake rescue and relocation service to members of the Stanthorpe Community.

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $150 proudly funded in 2010 by the Southern Downs Regional Council.  This grant allowed us to send carers to training workshops outside the district to gain much needed skills and information to care for the native animals in their care.

The Granite Belt Wildlife Carers acknowledge a grant of $12,634 proudly funded in 2008 by the Queensland Government's Gambling Community Benefit Fund administered by the Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing.  This grant allowed us to purchase non-consumable items for:
